Rise of Quantum physics

  • QUANTUM PHYSICS :-
    
       Inside Physics, we study the physical phenomena of Nature and the scientific events happening in this universe . 
Basically the physics is devided into two part's.

  1. Classical physics
  2. Modern physics
By the end of the 19th century it seemed that the laws of physics known up to that time were sufficient to analyze all natural phenomena.  It was believed that the particles of matter in the universe follow Newton's law of motion and radiation behaves according to Maxwell's equation.  The whole of physics before the advent of quantum physics is called claasicial physics.
  • RISE OF QUANTUM PHYSICS:-
           In the beginning of the twentieth century, scientists discovered many experimental facts that classical physical laws were not sufficient to understand.  Some of these elements are prominent.  New types of physics were required to understand the experiment related to these effects, such as the law of blackbody radiation , ligh power effects, the Compton effect, etc.  Which is called quantum physics.


Quantum physics is born out of efforts to understand the radiation energy spectrum of a black body. The radiation energy distribution spectrum of a black body cannot be interpreted by the principles of classical physics.  The rules given by Wein and Rayleigh jeans to explain the black-body radiation spectrum are based on classical physics.  But he did not understand the entire spectrum of the black-body radiation spectrum , in this context , He first explained the spectrum of black-body spectrum by the Maxplank  with a theory.


According to the planks, the absorption and emission of energy by the black body is due to the energy conversion of the oscillators present in the black body. And Planck also told that the absorption and emission of energy is not continuous, it is in the form of packets.  And this packet is called quanta. And the energy of each QUANTA is  hv ।

             v = frequency of  oscillation



The minimum amount of change in energy is equal to the absolute multiple of  hv.

 This Planck theory is called quantum theory of radiation ।।

This theory led to new ideas



  • The value of energy is not continuous but is quantized or discrete .
  • Light electric effect .
  • Compton effects .
These principles can be easily explained by the quantum theory of plank  ।।

All this Experiment's gave a solid foundation to the quantum theory of the plank and laid the foundation of quantum mechanics from the quantum theory .
